'Emmerdale' halted filming on Thursday (25.03.21) after a crew member died.
The ITV soap confirmed the show's bosses had stood filming down for the day "as a mark of respect", and the crew member's name hasn't been revealed.
A spokesperson said: "We can confirm an Emmerdale crew member has very sadly passed away. Our sincerest and heartfelt condolences go out to the family, friends and loved ones of our colleague.
"As a mark of respect, we have stood filming down for today. We'd like to abide by the family's wishes for privacy at this very sad time and we'd ask the media to be respectful of this."
Last year, 'Emmerdale' dedicated an episode to late props manager Cliff Perry after he sadly passed away.
At the end of an episode in November, a message read: "In memory of much loved crew member Cliff Perry 1959-2020."
James Hooton, who plays Sam Dingle in the ITV soap, took to Twitter at the time to pay tribute to Cliff.
He tweeted: "There’s a dedication at the end of tonight’s @emmerdale for one of our own who has sadly passed away.
"#cliffperry was a props man on Emmerdale who started work at YTV [Yorkshire Television] in 1979.
"He will be sadly missed by all! I for one will be raising a glass. Rip Cliff. (sic)"
Karen Blick, who plays James' on-screen wife Lydia Dingle, agreed, writing: "Same here".
Liam Fox (Dan Spencer) wrote: "One of the very best [Red heart emoji] (sic)"
