Emma Willis' new game show 'Prized Apart' has been axed.
The prime time Saturday night series - co-hosted by Reggie Yates - struggled to draw more than three million viewers in its first season, despite being widely hyped by BBC One bosses.
A BBC spokeswoman said: "We are proud of 'Prized Apart' and would like to thank everyone involved for their ambition and hard work, but it will not be returning for a second series."
The show featured 10 couples who were separated for six weeks but still had to work together on tasks to compete for a £1000,000 cash prize.
Its launch was delayed by BBC bosses in order to avoid a clash with Simon Cowell's 'Britain's Got Talent' which airs on ITV and regularly attracts over 10 million viewers.
Speaking previously about the show, Emma said: "'Prized Apart' will be nail-biting, emotional and full of energy. I'll be there with the partners in the studio as they watch their loved ones go through their hellish challenges in mystery locations abroad. It should be lots of fun to see how far the contestants will go for their loved ones. I can't wait to get stuck in."
BBC One's controller Charlotte Moore described 'Prized Apart' as a "game-changing Saturday night adventure show".
She said: "I've been looking for an entertainment format that feels genuinely game-changing and 'Prized Apart' delivers to the max. Jeopardy, heart and high emotion come together inside the studio and out."
