'Celebrity Big Brother' will feature a "big twist".
The 12th series of the fly-on-the-wall celebrity contest will launch with a two-hour show on Channel 5 on August 22 - three days after the current regular version ends - and will be followed the following day by a second 90-minute live show entitled 'Celebrity Big Brother: The Big Twist'.
Further information has not been explained, but the second live special, hosted by series presenter Emma Willis, will be followed by a 30-minute show of the live feed inside the house, likely related to the aftermath of the twist.
Celebrities linked with this year's show include Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, Peter Andre and his pregnant girlfriend Emily MacDonagh, former 'Coronation Street' actress Helen Flanagan, glamour model Alicia Douvall, disgraced soccer pundit Ron Atkinson, 5ive singer Abz Love, Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby and 'The Only Way Is Essex' star Joey Essex.
However, one famous face who won't be entering the house is 'Loose Women' star Jane McDonald.
She told Bella magazine: "I love watching it but I'd go mad. One, I wouldn't get my pork pie on a Sunday, and that would throw me out for the rest of the week.
"I like tradition. I like certain things at certain times. Also sleeping in the bedroom with everybody else - oh no. And me without make-up, forget it.
"I think illusion is a lovely thing, and being in the arts and on stage, that little bit of mystique is a wonderful thing to keep."
