'EastEnders' actress Emma Barton will "juggle" her role on the show whilst she competes on 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The 42-year-old actress is training hard for her debut on the ballroom but she has promised fans of the BBC One soap that they will still see her in Albert Square as Honey Mitchell as well as doing the cha-cha-cha on 'Strictly'.
She said: "I am going to have to juggle filming 'EastEnders' as well as 'Strictly' at the moment. I'll manage both as I'm a hard worker. Honey's not going anywhere; she's just swapping the tabard for a bit of sparkle for now."
Emma admits she has mixed emotions about stepping on to the dancefloor with her soon-to-be announced professional partner.
Some days she is "raring to go", whereas other days Emma is "petrified" to dance for the judges; Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Bruno Tonioli and Motsi Mabuse.
She said: "One minute, I'm really raring to go and I can't wait, but other times I'm petrified. I guess everybody is feeling the same so it's going to be really nice as we are all going to be in the same boat. It's like going back to school - new term, new teachers and new friends. What's not to like about that?"
However, Emma had no hesitation in accepting the offer when she was told she was wanted for the 2019 series of 'Strictly'.
She said: "I am the biggest 'Strictly' fan so when the call came through and they said, 'We would love to have you this year,' I thought, 'Oh my goodness, that means I won't be sitting at home with my glass of red wine watching it, I'm actually going to be doing it!'
"It's the best - it's the classiest, and just one of the most well received shows that you could do, so I would be really silly if I said no. You're learning such an amazing craft from the best people in the business, and you get to dress up in the gorgeous costumes. It was a no-brainer really."
'Strictly Come Dancing' launches on BBC One at 7.10pm this Saturday (07.09.19).
