Emily Atack quit stripping off for lads' magazines because "things started drooping down a bit".
The 31-year-old actress posed for a series of saucy photos earlier in her career, but she made a conscious effort to move in a new direction after starring on 'I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!' in 2018.
Emily - who played Charlotte Hinchcliffe in 'The Inbetweeners' - said: "For years I was known as Charlotte Big Jugs from 'The Inbetweeners'.
"That was fun, but I got to a point where things start drooping down a bit. I needed a new medium to say the things I wanted to say."
Emily admits her 'I'm a Celebrity' appearance marked a turning point in her career.
The actress told 'The Jonathan Ross Show': "I thought by doing the jungle it would show a little bit more who I am as a person. It's very easy to be categorised when you do lads' mags and all that kind of stuff…
"I thought for years people have been talking about my body, my sexuality, what I look like.
"My career became very much about what I looked like, so I thought, what better way - when the jungle came knocking - to show what I have as a person and what more I have to offer."
Meanwhile, Emily previously admitted she was "feeling lost and had no money" before her 'I'm a Celebrity' stint.
She said: "I’d been typecast as a blonde-girl-next-door type. I was getting a bit older, things were getting a bit lower down. Those roles stopped coming in...
"I couldn’t play the sexy school girls anymore, the femme fatal sexy girl with the stockings on who seduces the male lead. It all dried up for me."
