The 32-year-old star was driven to make her BBC documentary, 'Emily Atack: Sexual Harassment and Me' about the issue because of her own experiences and admitted she finds the unwanted attention she receives "really tough", particularly because there is "no accountability" for things that happen online.

She told BBC Radio 4: “My whole life, I’ve been sexually harassed. In the streets, I’ve been flashed. It’s happened since I was 10.

“Now I’m sexually harassed online every day. I find it really tough. I did the documentary to talk about the implications.

“There’s no accountability. It’s not illegal to send this stuff to people.

“I’m very damaged by the things that have happened to me."

The former 'Inbetweeners' star finds it particularly difficult that she gets "blamed" for the harassment because of her candid nature and she wants to change that misconception when her programme is released next year.

She added: “I’m constantly being blamed for it all. I’m a very sexually liberated woman, I talk about my life in that way. I’m constantly told I’m to blame. I’m trying to show in this documentary it’s not our fault.”

Emily is "proud" of the sexy photoshoots she's taken part in in the past but claims the "joy" of the experience was taken from her because of the unwelcome reaction.

She said: “I’m proud of them. The problem is as women we’re not allowed to celebrate those things without looking like we’re flaunting it and looking for this negative attention. It takes the joy out of what you’re doing. That joy was taken from me.”

The 'Celebrity Juice' star previously expressed her hope that the documentary will help other women in her position.

She said: "With this documentary, I am hoping to find answers to the many questions I've been asking myself my entire life, and I hope it will go on to help thousands of others too."
