Emilia Clarke suffered an awkward moment on 'Doctors' when a crew member "let one rip" just as she was about to make her TV debut on the show.
The 'Game of Thrones' actress appeared as the guest lead on the BBC Daytime soap in 2009 - two years before she shot to fame as the Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryen, on the HBO fantasy epic - but her big break on the small screen was interrupted by a pesky parp.
Speaking at the virtual Edinburgh TV Festival, she said: "I walk into this really small office and I'm meant to look shocked and alarmed and really upset about what I'm looking at. Just horrified.
"I was like, 'We have got one take. Just smell the smell.' "
Even without the stench, Emilia - who played character Saskia Mayer in the medical drama - was up against it after only being given one take to perfect her first-ever TV scene.
According to The Huff Post, she added: "There was a really small space and they were like, 'OK, we have literally got time for one take, I'm really sorry Emilia, I know this is your debut on TV but we've got one take so don't mess it up.' "
Several other stars have also cut their teeth in 'Doctors', including The Crown's Claire Foy, 'Fleabag' creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge, former 'Skins' actor Nicholas Hoult, and 'Flash Gordon' actor Brian Blessed.
And before becoming a star of the big screen in the likes of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' and 'The Theory of Everything', Eddie Redmayne appeared in an episode of 'Doctors' in 2003, playing Rob Huntley.
