Ellie Leach felt "completely overwhelmed" when the 'Strictly Come Dancing Live!' tour ended.
The former 'Coronation Street' star has admitted it was tough to "come to terms" with the end of the run of shows, after the actress and her professional partner Vito Coppola triumphed in the BBC series late last year.
Speaking on this week's episode of reality TV show 'Drama Queens', in a segment filmed in February, she said: "Finishing 'Strictly' and finishing the tour, I am completely overwhelmed.
"I’m kind of having to come to terms with the fact that 'Strictly' is over; it’s done, and I’m not going to be dancing anymore."
Ellie admitted she found it hard to be away from her family and friends while on the 'Strictly' tour, and she has since gone on to appear in stage production 'Cluedo 2', which is touring the country.
She added: "For me, being away from home and being away from my family is hard.
"This is my life these days, living out of hotel rooms and I don’t think that’s going to be stopping anytime soon.
An emotional Ellie added: "It was so, so, nice to be with everyone during the tour, but it’s not the same as going home and having a hug off your mum, which is something I’ve not done for a while."
Ellie made her stage debut in the UK tour dramatisation of the classic mystery board game, after taking over the role of Miss Scarlett from former 'Coronation Street' co-star Helen Flanagan, who had withdrawn due to "medical reasons".
After the part was confirmed, Ellie said: "After an incredible year, I'm so excited to join the cast of 'Cluedo 2'.
"I am delighted to make my stage acting debut as Miss Scarlett and I can't wait to work with Jason and the talented cast."
