Elizabeth McGovern loves watching 'Downton Abbey' spoof videos.
The 52-year-old actress, who plays Countess Cora Crawley in the ITV period drama, found it hilarious watching US rapper P. Diddy's bizarre parody, in which he appeared to join the cast during various scenes and joked he was the first black character cast in the programme, and she thinks his clip will be tough to better.
She told BANG Showbiz: "I don't think anyone will beat the Puff Daddy video. We loved that video, we thought it was hysterical.
"We always show [Dame] Maggie Smith all the YouTube stuff and she loves it.
"There's another guy who imitates the characters, too, I'm really looking forward to seeing him.
"He does really good impressions of everybody. I think he calls his show 'The Only Way is Downton' so I think that's a good one, too."
Elizabeth loves how the show's writers manage to pen serious storylines but also intertwine aspects of comedy into the period drama, and she admits the special skill helps to make the programme unique.
She added: "When we're filming the show it's almost like we're not taking ourselves very seriously but we are completely serious. That's what makes it special.
"You could play every scene as a total parody of itself and play it exactly the same way. That's what makes it special.
"Even when people get angry or they want to criticise the show then as long as it's engendering a big response then I'm happy if that's the case."
The fourth series of 'Downton Abbey' starts on Sunday (22.09.13) at 9pm on ITV.
