Eddie Izzard and Jo Joyner have joined the cast of Harlan Coben's new drama 'Stay Close'.
The 'Ocean's Twelve' star and the former 'EastEnders' actress will appear alongside Daniel Francis, Andi Osho, Bethany Antonia, Rachel Andrews and Poppy Gilbert in the Netflix thriller, which will also feature previously announced cast Cush Jumbo, James Nesbitt, Richard Armitage and Sarah Parish.
The series tells the story of three people, mother-of-three Megan (Cush), former documentary photographer Ray (Richard), and detective Broome (James), who are living comfortable lives, but they are all harbouring dark secrets.
Sarah is to star as Lorraine, an old friend from Megan's past, who delivers some shocking news which will impact on all three characters.
Eddie will play small-time lawyer Harry, who has been a father figure to Megan, and Jo is to portray a quick-witted police detective Erin Cartwright, who is the ex-wife of James' character Broome.
Other characters include doting dad Dave Shaw, who is engaged to Megan and will be played by Daniel, and Andi will star as retired ex-army sergeant Simona, who is pregnant with her first child.
'Stay Close' - which is based on Harlan's number one New York Times bestselling novel of the same name - is the fourth drama that Nicola Shindler, Harlan, Danny Brocklehurst, Richard Fee and Netflix have collaborated on.
They were previously behind hit 'The Stranger' - which Armitage starred in - 2018's 'Safe' and 'The Five'.
Harlan has a five-year deal with Netflix to develop 14 of his titles into film and TV dramas.
'Stay Close' is scheduled to go into production in spring 2021.
