Edd Kimber

Edd Kimber

Edd Kimber wouldn't take part in a Great British Bake Off series which would see all former winners compete.

The baker won the first series of the BBC programme in 2010 and while still loves to watch 'Bake Off', he insists he can't stand reality television and so would neve rreturn.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I don't think I'd ever want to do any other reality shows. People always say about doing a winners' series of 'Bake Off' but I wouldn't even want to do that.

"I'm genuinely not a fan of reality TV. The idea of doing other reality TV shows is awful so I kind of pretend 'Bake Off' wasn't reality TV.

"I still watch the show, I used to have a column about it so I was contractually obliged to watch it but I watch it anyway."

Edd admits he particularly loves 'Bake Off' because it is a "really nice" version of a reality show and there is no squabbling between contestants.

He added: "It's so British and quaint and lovely and it's not about people trying to one-up each other. It's very, very sweet in its heart. Yes it's a reality show, yes it's competitive but it's a really nice version of it. That's kind of nice because a lot of other reality shows are definitely not like that."

Edd has teamed up with another fellow former winner of 'The Great British Bake Off', John Whaite, to bring a stocking full of Britain's most creative Christmas recipes in 'John and Edd's Christmas Bakes', which airs on Friday December 13 at 10:30am, 2pm and 8pm on Food Network.
