'EastEnders' stars are raising money to save a top celebrity agent battling COVID-19 in Mexico.

A number of the BBC One soap's cast members - including Natalie Cassidy (Sonia Fowler), Max Bowden (Ben Mitchell), Gillian Taylforth (Kathy Beale) and Letitia Dean (Sharon Beale) - have asked for help with donations to pay for life-saving treatment for Terry Mills, who is fighting for his life after contracting the virus during a business trip to Cancun.
The GoFundMe page - which was put together by Terry's friend, Sarah Robertson - was launched on Sunday (24.01.21) and has raised more than
£22,000 at the time of writing.
However, £100,000 is needed for the costly treatment which includes placing Terry - who has pneumonia - in an induced coma.
Sarah wrote on the GoFundMe page: "The cost is astronomical but you can’t put a price on a person’s life and we are at the mercy of the Playa Med Hospital in Cancun. We’ve clubbed together and thrown everything we have at this so far in order to buy Terry a hospital bed where he has been receiving oxygen and antibiotics, but his condition worsened and the doctors said he had to be put on a ventilator if he is to survive this.
"We’re frightened. We want to be there holding Terry's hand but we're not allowed and we need to raise another £100,000 within the next ten days to pay for this life-saving treatment."
The 38-year-old talent agent - who has managed the likes of 'TOWIE' star Yazmin Oukhellou, ‘Gogglebox's Amy Tapper, and 'Ibiza Weekender' star Callum Izzard - is adored in the industry.
Max Bowden also shared the link to the GoFundMe page on his Instagram and is “begging” his followers to give what they can.
He wrote: "PLEASE PLEASE READ!!! One of my best friends is currently battling covid in Mexico and the medical bills are racking up. He is incredibly vulnerable and I am so scared that if we can’t raise enough money we could lose him. I am begging you, please, give what you can to the link in my bio. I don’t know what to do right now and we need all the help we can get so please share and give what you can. (sic)"
