Fans of BBC One soap EastEnders are no stranger to the drama and chaos that happens on Albert Square each and every week. The next seven days’ worth of episodes are no different, with plenty going down in Walford to keep us entertained.

Last week, we saw Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) and Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace) kickoff a shock storyline of romance, with seduction in the air as Kat called Phil to help her with her broken down vehicle. At the time, Phil was supposed to be enjoying a date with Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), but stood her up to go and play the hero with Kat.

Though the two have now clearly got feelings for one another, Kat will seek revenge this week after overhearing Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) making cruel and inappropriate comments about her; before also hearing his father Phil agreeing with his sentiments.

Unaware that he was doing so simply to keep their relationship under-wraps, she considers bringing information to the Panesar family - Phil’s biggest rivals and competition in business - that could see them snatch up his customers and hurt his company in the process.

Meanwhile, Ruby Allen’s (Louisa Lytton) lies are starting to catch up with her. After claiming she was pregnant 12 weeks ago, she had been on a mission to actually become pregnant with Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) baby. All of this, in a bid to keep him from going back to ex-wife, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).

Now actually with child, a private scan shows that she is seven weeks into her pregnancy. With Martin questioning when they’ll be able to go for the 12-week scan, she’s forced to come up a plan that will throw him off her scent; exactly how she’s going to continue to do that however, remains to be seen.

Tragedy may actually strike, when Ruby is forced to ring the hospital and tell them that she is bleeding midweek. Things only get scarier when she later returns to the Square, only to get into another argument with Stacey that leads to the staircase; where Ruby falls backwards and tumbles down the flight of stairs.

All of this and more in this week’s EastEnders, which continues on BBC One Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
