Harry Reid wants his 'EastEnders' character Ben Mitchell to "turn" Dean Wicks.
The 23-year-old actor plays the gay teenager in the BBC One soap and thinks it would be an "amazing storyline" if he was allowed to turn his attentions to Dean (Matt Di Angelo).
He said: "Do you know what I'd love to see? I'd love it if Ben went after an older straight guy and tried to turn him. Someone like Dean would be a good one to target. It would be an amazing storyline."
However, the soap star might be pushing his luck since soap bosses were forced to defend Ben's recent sex-scene with Paul Coker (Jonny Labey) - which took place in a funeral home beside the corpse of an elderly woman - after it received 48 complaints from Ofcom.
In a statement, they said: "The millions of regular 'EastEnders' fans who tune in each week know and expect dramatic storylines."
Meanwhile, Harry thinks it is "sad" that gay actors often decide against revealing their true sexual identity in Hollywood out of fear that they will lose out on playing straight characters.
He told the Daily Star: "I've had some great feedback from the gay community about how I play Ben. I'm a straight guy playing a gay role. There is no reason why it can't work the other way around. It's all down to acting.
"It's rubbish if people in Hollywood won't give openly gay actors in Hollywood a chance."
