'EastEnders' is to air some post-watershed episodes when the Tokyo Olympics get underway.
The BBC One soap is to move two episodes, on Monday 26th July and Friday 30th, to 9.05pm, and the Tuesday and Thursday eps in that week will broadcast at 9pm.
It will see Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) make a huge decision about his future, and also focus on Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) and Chelsea Fox's (Zaraah Abrahams) romance.
As with the recent Euro 2020, the Olympics - which begins in Japan on July 23rd - looks set to disrupt the soap's coverage.
But the BBC recently confirmed they will once again release box sets of episodes on a weekly basis, so fans can binge watch that week's eps in case they are unable to catch the rescheduled ones live - as they did during the football tournament.
EastEnders' executive producer Jon Sen recently said in a statement: "We're so glad that the audience has enjoyed getting ahead of the game – keeping up with Albert Square on iPlayer whilst enjoying the Euros, so we're carrying on releasing the week's episodes on Monday throughout Tokyo 2020.
"There's enough happening in Walford this summer to keep everyone on the edge of their seats and we're thrilled audiences won't need to miss out on anything."
'EastEnders' got into the spirit of the Euros, casting football manager Harry Redknapp in a guest role to coincide with the final week of the tournament.
And earlier this week, the soap referenced England's Euro 2020 final loss on Monday night's (12.07.21) episode with a last-minute scene which saw Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) devastated at the defeat.
Speaking to Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell), the hapless market trader said: "You know, I was seven when we won the World Cup.
"I just hope I'm about long enough to see us win something else."
