Tony Discipline gets recognised from 'EastEnders' when he's putting out fires.
The former soap star - who played Tyler Moon on Albert Square from 2011 to 2013 - now works as a firefighter for the London Fire Brigade, but he still has people bringing up his old job.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, he said: "There have been a few times when I've been called to put out a fire, and I've been recognised as Tyler!
"There was one where a garden shed had caught alight, and as I'm running a hose through, this guy turns around mid-panic and goes, 'Weren't you in 'EastEnders', mate?'
"And I thought, 'I'd better do a good job of putting this fire out!' "
Tony's former co-star and on-screen brother Matt Lapinskas - who played Anthony Moon from 2011 to 2012 - has also revealed how he gets remembered for his time on the BBC show.
Speaking in a joint interview, he added: "People still message me and ask what I'm doing now.
"Soaps have such a massive audience, so it was nice to jump on the podcast with Tony to look back on it all.
"'EastEnders' was an experience that we went through together, and we're still really close."
And the 32-year-old actor admitted he was surprised to find out he would be leaving the soap on the day he had been measured for a new outfit.
He explained: "I think I'd just been measured for costumes on the same day that a new boss came in and told me that she was letting me go.
"It's not until you shoot your final scenes and you're back at home that it sinks in, but you just move on."
Since leaving the show, he has appeared in the likes of 'Dead Ringer' and 'The Seven', as well as working on stage.
