Eamonn Holmes has hinted he is to appear in 'Love Island' after Laura Anderson admitted she "really fancies" him.
The 29-year-old air stewardess revealed to her fellow Islanders in last night's (18.07.18) episode that she has a crush on the 'This Morning' co-host, and earlier today (19.07.18), he dropped a huge hint that he could be set to appear in the Spanish villa.
Speaking about Laura's comments in the episode, while co-hosting 'This Morning' with his wife Ruth Langsford, he said: "There was a lot of love for me.
"It's just nice to be an inspiration to young people. Two people like us, we're like couple goals.
"[Appearing on 'Love Island'] may well happen. I've got my passport ready.
"Thank you, Laura. It was very, very nice to be a role model to someone like yourself."
But Ruth admitted she would be envious of her hubby if he did appear on the ITV2 show.
She joked: "That does make me slightly jealous. Last night I thought it was funny - now I'm not so sure.
"You know I'm a jealous woman."
'Love Island' narrator Iain Stirling joked on last night's show that Ruth wouldn't let Eamonn fly to Spain to appear in the villa, but the 'Loose Women' host insists she would.
Ruth said: "I would let you go if you were going to smooth the waters for Laura."
And she has suggested Eamonn could talk to Laura about why she keeps getting dumped, by Wes Nelson and more recently Jack Fowler.
He replied: "Yeah, I could be like a father figure in there. An agony uncle."
Eamonn then quipped: "But those boys would all hate me. They would think, 'How am I going to compete with that?' "
Laura praised both Eamonn and Ruth during last night's 'Love Island' episode, and admitted she is particularly a big fan of the 58-year-old TV presenter.
She said: "Oh, I really fancy Eamonn Holmes.
"I just love him and Ruth, and I think they're so cute together."
Ruth, 58 - who married Eamonn in 2010 - revealed she found out about Laura's comments from the couple's 16-year-old son Jack Holmes who was watching the show in real time, while she was in catch-up mode.
She said: "I was a little bit behind and Jack was watching it and said, 'Have you seen 'Love Island'?"
Eamonn added: "I was sitting watching a Nazi gold heist at the time, that's a true story, and he came running in to me, 'Dad, my phone is going my mad!'
"Dad's still got it, son!"
Last night, Eamonn tweeted: "I have to thank that lovely Laura girl from #loveisland for the nice things she said about me. Let's just not share them with @RuthieeL .
I don't want to get my mugged offs and Cracking on's mixed up ...but plenty to discuss on Tomorrow's @thismorning .@LoveIsland (sic)"
Ruth replied: "The girl has taste! Thank you Laura but @eamonnholmes won't be cracking on any time soon!! (sic)"
