Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes won't be jetting off on holiday this summer because they're determined to make the most of the British summer.
The 'This Morning' co-hosts, both 58, have shunned the opportunity to head abroad this year and are instead happy to remain at home, where they're revelling in the scorching temperatures.
The confession came to light after Eamonn asked his Twitter followers: "How are you coping? #Heatwaveuk I'm lovin it ..... I think. Just remember how long, cold, dark, grey, wet, dank and miserable WINTER is. (sic)"
One follower replied: "It's great, love the sun, love the warm evenings. It's like being on holiday but much better - no godawful travelling, own bed, proper telly I can understand."
The response prompted the veteran broadcaster to reveal why he and Ruth - who have a 16-year-old son called Jack together - have opted to stay in Britain this year.
He wrote: "These are some of the reasons @RuthieeL and I stayed at home this year for our holiday (sic)"
Meanwhile, Ruth and Eamonn recently marked their wedding anniversary by sharing romantic messages with each other over social media.
The presenters - who have been together for 22 years in total - both took to Twitter to post heartfelt messages in recognition of their eighth wedding anniversary.
Eamonn shared a snap of the loved-up couple having an on-screen kiss, and he captioned the image: "Happy Anniversary my darling @RuthieeL . The fastest 22 years of my Life. Where did all that time go ? (sic)"
Ruth, on the other hand, posted a photograph of the couple on their wedding day.
She captioned the snap: "Still so in love with this wonderful man after 22yrs together. Happy Anniversary my darling @EamonnHolmes (sic)"
