Eamonn Holmes wants to go back to Sky News.
The 57-year-old presenter announced he was leaving the channel's early-morning show 'Sunrise' last October following 11 years at the helm but has admitted he now misses the programme and hopes they'll let him return for "something" in the future.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "I think that would great if there was the right opening. I would return to Sky News, yes. It was such a wonderful experience. You don't get the opportunity to do that sort of broadcasting. 'This Morning' is live, but Sky News is even more edgy than 'This Morning' because anything can happen. I miss it, I suppose I am addicted to that sort of adrenaline. I've been doing this since 1980. Five days a week live TV so I suppose I am a bit addicted that's my thing. Live programming to be able to do it, there is not many people who do do it. So yeah I'll be looking for something when I go back to give me the buzz."
And, although Eamonn has admitted he gets excited by live television, he doesn't get nervous because he thinks it's just a "wasted emotion".
He explained: "I stopped getting nervous about 15 years ago because It is wasted emotion and wasted energy. I say that to anybody. People say you need your heart to race faster because it gives you more energy and makes for a better performance. It doesn't for me. I don't think being out of breath makes it any better. So I am the calmest person you will ever see in the studio, I just think what is the worst that can happen. As you do your homework, you don't have to worry about it."
