Dom Joly feared his kids would be bullied after he dressed up as a kebab for 'Fool Britannia'.
The 45-year-old comedian underwent six hours of make-up to look like one of the calorific treats for the second series of his hidden camera sketch series, but was concerned his two children - daughter Parker and son Jackson - would be mocked by fellow pupils at their new school over his wacky disguise.
He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "My big worry recently was last week I was dressed as a kebab - it was six hours in make-up - but my kids have just moved schools and I was just really worried other kids were going to be like, 'Is your dad the kebab?'
"So I was really worried they were going to be bullied, but apparently it went down really well so they've actually got some kudos, so I'm quite pleased. That was a big worry though.
"I don't know how they would've responded to people saying their dad was a kebab - there is just no way back from that at all!"
Dom - who also dresses up as an ASBO Vicar in 'Fool Britannia' - admits he would love to be able to test-run all of his TV shows on his kids and wife Stacey because they give him such honest opinions.
He added: "In an ideal world I really would take a show, before it goes out on TV, and show it to my family. My wife never laughs and my kids laugh at different things so it would give me a real fun range of what is funny and what is not."
'Fool Britannia' airs Saturdays at 6.30pm on ITV.
