Diane Parish has got engaged.
The 'EastEnders' actress and her significant other Gerry Zucarello, who have been dating for three years, are set to tie the knot, and she is said to be "enjoying" having additional time to plan the nuptials, which comes after the soap stopped filming amid the coronavirus pandemic.
A friend said: "Diane and Gerry met through pals and have been quietly dating for three years
"Gerry said he and Diane were engaged after they had been spending time at home during the lockdown.
"She is enjoying having time on her hands to plan the wedding."
Diane - who has two kids, Kaya, 12, and Kenya, 14, from a previous relationship - is said to be hoping for an "intimate ceremony" with family and friends.
The pal added to The Sun newspaper: "She is thinking about a small, intimate ceremony involving all their kids and close friends."
'EastEnders' bosses recently confirmed the soap had halted filming due to the pandemic, but producer Jon Sen has since admitted the script writers are "still working hard" on storylines, despite the filming break.
He tweeted: "Thank you for all your messages.
"Just to let you know that after the news last week that we are postponing filming, we are still working hard behind the scenes planning stories for when we return."
As well as filming being stopped, 'EastEnders' are only airing episodes on Mondays and Tuesdays for the time being.
A previous statement read: "In light of the spread of Covid-19, after much consideration, it has been decided that filming on 'EastEnders' will be postponed until further notice.
"The decision was made after the latest government update. We will continue to follow the latest news and advice from the World Health Organisation and Public Health England.
"We have also taken the decision to reduce the amount of episodes we broadcast each week to two, so that we can ensure the audience can continue to enjoy 'EastEnders' in their homes for as long as possible."
