Derren Brown is to return to Channel 4 this December with a one-off special.
The brand new episode will see the master illusionist and showman attempt to pull off the robbery of a painting right from under Ivan Massow's nose.
Not only this, but Derren will let Ivan know exactly which painting he'll be targeting, the time the theft will take place and will even provide a photograph of the person who'll be trying to take it.
The crew Derren has recruited isn't any ordinary organised crime ring, but instead old age pensioners.
He'll teach these senior citizens exactly how to pull off the heist, deceiving those around them and working as a team to the best of their abilities.
Derren said of the show: “This has been nerve-wracking for me and my team, leaving such an extraordinary task entirely in the hands of a group of contributors to pull off. The idea was to use the fact that the elderly tend to be treated as invisible as a strength. There’s only so much training you can give, so many worst-case scenarios you can try to cover. I’m used to feeling in control with these shows – but not with this one. It’s a big caper: fun, edge-of-seat, hopefully taking you to unexpected places.”
