Dermot O'Leary thinks fatherhood has "shifted" his world.
The 48-year-old TV presenter - who has Kasper, 14 months, with his wife Dee - has confessed that becoming a dad has totally transformed his life.
He said: "All the cliches are true, I mean like the love you feel and all of that. It's wonderful, it is the best feeling in the world and he is young enough for me not to go through massive worries yet.
"I think you always want to be around as much as possible. I would struggle to take a gig for three away weeks now. But you would try to work around it.
"My world has shifted now though. This has been the longest I've been away from him for a while. And that's fine, but if I'm at home. Then, we'll make sure that myself or Dee are able to get up with him and have breakfast."
Dermot's TV career came to a shuddering halt last year because of the coronavirus lockdown.
However, the situation did allow him to spend loads of time at home with his newborn son - and it was an experience he cherished.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It was tough, my mum and dad were over in Ireland and Dee's family were in Norway and we still haven't been over to see them yet, but hopefully soon.
"But you have got to take your positives where you can. We had Kasper and that's been incredible.
"And I was always going to take some paternity leave – but I took a lot more than I bargained for but in a lovely way. I was around for the first five or six months of his life every day."
