Dennis Wise’s daughter Amber is set to appear on ‘Love Island’.
The “laid-back” 19-year-old star is expected to enter the Casa Amor stage of the ITV2 dating show - which sees either the male or female group of Islanders sent to another villa, while a group of the opposite sex join them and the others back at the main villa - and the former Wimbledon legend, 56, is said to have given Amber his "full support".
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Amber will really stand out from the crowd on 'Love Island' and jumped at the chance to take part.
“She is very low key and laid back but won’t be taking any nonsense. Amber is incredibly close to her dad and she has his full support in taking part.
“Naturally, it can be awkward for a dad knowing his daughter could be hooking up with someone on TV, but Amber is looking for real love and wants to make her dad proud.”
Amber - who is a graphic communications student at the University of Arts London - is following in the footsteps of last year’s contestant Gemma Owen, 20, the eldest child of Liverpool FC legend Michael Owen.
Gemma previously told the Times newspaper: “There can be a stigma when you do a show like 'Love Island'. But there are amazing opportunities too if you can just be yourself.
“I wanted to do it, but only if I could just be me: plain-spoken and real. I am good at not showing my feelings if I have to.
“I got to watch up close how my dad handled things when football finished.”
“Normal and grounded is good.
“Success can quickly change or fade. Family, friends and, for me, horses, are for ever.”
