Denise Welch's husband Lincoln Townley "made" her go to the gym every day on their honeymoon.
Despite celebrating the couple's recent marriage with a relaxing break on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia, the 'Loose Women' panellist - who has quit alcohol and shed two stone since embarking on a new weight-loss regime - didn't stop her exercise programme after some encouragement from the 40-year-old party planner.
She said: "Lincoln made me go to the gym every day, yes every day.
"I have maintained my weight. I haven't put on a pound since I've been away and it is so much easier to eat well there with all the wonderful fresh fruits and vegetables.
"I did allow myself the odd virgin cocktail, too."
While the couple have now returned to work in the UK, the 55-year-old star is keen to make sure she spends as much time with Lincoln as she can to avoid being another showbiz couple who split because they never see each other.
She added to HELLO! magazine: "We try to work our lives so we can be together as much as we can.
"I don't want to be another casualty of actors being separated from their family because of work."
