Denise Welch's son Matthew Healy has snubbed her wedding.

The 'Loose Women' star's 24-year-old son cancelled flights to her Portugal nuptials to Lincoln Townley, 40, in favour of performing alongside The Rolling Stones at Hyde Park on Sunday (14.07.13) with his band 1975, and while Denise was disappointed, she is also said to be delighted for him.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "On the one hand, Denise was absolutely gutted when Matt rang and told her he wouldn't be attending her big day but on the other, she was absolutely thrilled. As much as she would love Matthew to be there on Saturday, she realises you don't turn down The Rolling Stones."

Denise, 55, will given away by her father Vin and her youngest son Louis Healy, 12, will be an usher. She will tie the knot one year after divorcing from 'Benidorm' star Tim Healy, 61.

Matthew's Hyde Park performance will be a career highlight for the frontman, whose group have also toured with Muse and scored a top 20 hit this year with 'Chocolate'.
