Denise Van Outen has teased the possibility of returning to 'The Big Breakfast'.
The 47-year-old star co-hosted the iconic Channel 4 morning show with Johnny Vaughan in 1997 until 1999 and again for four months between 2000 and 2001 and she's suggested the programme may be revived next year to mark it's 30th anniversary.
Asked if she could be tempted back to the show, she told MailOnline: "It’s the anniversary next year. So there might be something… That’s all I’ll say!"
A one-off special episode of 'The Big Breakfast' will air next month as part of Channel 4's Black to Front day, which champions Black voices, stories, and talent on British TV, and will be hosted by AJ Odudu and Mo Gilligan.
And Denise can't wait to tune in, particularly to see her "good friend" AJ in action.
She said: "I’m thrilled she’s doing it, she’ll be great.
"And it’ll be so nice to watch. It’s like a trip down memory lane – back into the old house. I’m not sure what it’s like in there now."
Earlier this year, Denise admitted it would be "nice" for her and Johnny to reunite for the show's 30th anniversary, having finally ended their long-running feud.
She said: "Johnny and I have had a bit of a rocky relationship over the years for various reasons and, funnily enough, we’ve messaged a lot in lockdown.
"These situations make you reflect and realise some of the silly niggles and arguments you have are just not worth it."
Meanwhile, Denise has teamed up with Quorn to deliver meat-free picnics for just 1p to encourage people to try something different and help the planet.
She said: “I’ve been making a conscious effort to cut down meat in mine and my family’s diet recently, which is why I’ve teamed up with Quorn. I’ve tried some of Quorn’s snacking range including the great cocktail sausages, they’re so delicious that you don’t feel like you’re missing out on anything and you’re helping the planet at the same time!”
Quorn's meat-free picnics will be available for just 1p on Deliveroo this Saturday (07.08.21) and Sunday (08.08.21) in selected areas of London and Manchester while stocks last.
