The 49-year-old star is known for presenting 'The Big Breakfast' in the 1990s but has since made a career out of starring on the West End stage and in the BBC soap opera 'EastEnders' but after fronting 'Air Fryers: Are They Worth It?' for the broadcaster earlier this year, is now "on a mission" to help others with two more episodes of consumer-based programming.

She is quoted by The Sun newspaper's TVBiz Column: "Everyone wants to know the difference between brands and own-label — and I’m on a mission to reveal the secrets that could save you a small fortune!"

An insider explained that the former 'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant - who regularly appears as a panellist on Channel 4's 'Steph's Packed Lunch' - has carved out a "real niche" at the broadcaster and hinted that more could be on the cards if the episodes are received well.

A source said: "Denise has carved out a real niche at Channel 4 with her consumer-focused programming. And she has been a big hit with viewers. She’s warm, entertaining and strikes the perfect balance between being relatable and reliable. If the next two shows go well, there’s hope to continue in the same vein."

In 'Secrets Of Supermarket Own Brands', the former 'Loose Women' star will be putting the value of supermarket offers to the test, and later in the year, she will reportedly examine the cost of Christmas and find a a way to cut the cost of the festive season.

Deborah Dunnett from Channel 4 said: “As the cost-of-living crisis continues to bite, viewers can celebrate how savvy spending doesn’t have to mean compromising on quality
