This Morning's resident Agony Aunt Denise Robertson has died following a short battle with pancreatic cancer, passing on aged 83.

Releasing a statement earlier today (April 1), the ITV show announced: "Such sad news - our friend and colleague Denise Robertson has lost her short but determined battle against cancer."

They also revealed they're now "working on a special programme reflecting her work and achievements", which would include messages of condolence from fans and viewers.

Working on the show since 1988, Denise was being treated at London's Royal Marsden hospital after being diagnosed in February earlier this year.

Show host Phillip Schofield led the tributes to Denise, taking to Twitter to share a picture:

Denise leaves behind husband Bryan Thubron, her son Mark, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
