Delta Goodrem would “never say never” to reprising her role on ‘Neighbours’.
The ‘Wings’ hitmaker’s journey to stardom included playing Nina Tucker in the Australian soap - a character she said “goodbye” to during what was thought to be the last ever episode of the Channel 5 soap in 2022 - but it has since been confirmed that the Australian show is being revived, and she is not ruling out a return to Erinsborough.
The 38-year-old singer told the Daily Star newspaper’s Hot TV column: “We did do the big send-off. I think my character Nina said goodbye. We all said goodbye.
“But never say never. Who knows?"
Delta "loves" that playing aspiring singer Nina - firstly in 2002 until 2005, and again in 2015 - helped to give her music career a lift off.
She said: “It’s where I started and I love that ‘Neighbours’ will live on forever and ever.”
Recently, the ‘I Don’t Care’ hitmaker detailed her strong bond with Sir Elton John - who reached out to her when she was diagnosed with cancer aged 18 - and she praised him for his “authentic relationships” with new talent.
Delta said: "In the early careers of me starting out in my career, I was so lucky to have support from artists in the UK, whether we were doing ‘Top of The Pops’ or when Elton John first reached out to me when I was first diagnosed with cancer or for my first song.
"When you're first stepping into the world as an artist, Elton has such incredible impact and he's so wonderful to the whole community, with artists, he has such authentic relationships."
