Debbie McGee won't dance again.
The 59-year-old star made the final of 'Strictly Come Dancing' last year and though she had a "really special" bond with Giovanni Pernice and is keen to take the floor with him again before the new series of the ballroom and Latin show starts later this year, it isn't going to be a new hobby for her because she doesn't think anyone else could be as good a partner as the show professional.
She admitted: "I had this really special chemistry with Giovanni Pernice on 'Strictly Come Dancing' last year, so hopefully we'll dance again before he gets his new 'Strictly' partner in September. But I don't think I'll keep dancing. The hard thing when you've done Strictly is that the professional you've been partnered with is the best in the world. How can you dance with someone else after that?"
Debbie - who is the widow of late magician Paul Daniels - admitted being on 'Strictly' has changed her life and she believes people treat her "differently" now because of the show.
She told The Sun's TV magazine: "It's been two years since Paul died and doing 'Strictly' was quite a character changer for me. It was much tougher than I thought it would be, but because people have got to know me through it, I'm being treated differently when I'm out and about than I was before."
Debbie can currently be seen on 'Pilgrimage: The Road to Santiago', a 15-day trek across France and Spain with other celebrities and though she learned a lot about herself, she doesn't want to go back to the mountain range again.
She said: "I don't even do the gardening without my make-up on, so doing 'Pilgrimage' was completely out of my comfort zone. We were only allowed to take walking trousers, T-shirts and fleeces with us. It made me realise I can cope without my lipstick on, but I never want to go over the Pyrenees again!"
