Debbie McGee is ready to find love two years after losing her husband Paul Daniels.
The 59-year-old performer was left heartbroken after she lost her husband of 28 years in March 2016 following the TV magician's diagnosis with a brain tumor.
Debbie won the hearts of the British public with her efforts on the last series of 'Strictly Come Dancing' with her professional partner Giovanni Pernice and now she's ready to open her heart to someone new who could embrace her age-defying "energy".
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, she said: "I don't want to be on my own for the rest of my life. If someone asked me out I would consider it. I love male company, am full of energy and don't want to be stuck at home alone. Although I have male friends that take me out for lunches and dinners, I wouldn't describe them as dates. Nobody has actually asked me out yet, but when they do, I'll go. That's how I deal with life, by taking it as it comes."
Debbie - who worked as Paul's on stage assistant - believes her late husband would be "proud" of the fact she hasn't let his death stand in the way of the opportunities life has presented to her since his passing.
And the glamorous blonde insists work has helped her get over her grief from losing Paul at the age of 77.
She explained: "If Paul could see me now he would be so proud and happy of me. I'm having the greatest time and feel like the luckiest person in the world."
Revealing her determination and motivation to keep working, she added: "It's how I cope, it just gives me something to get up for and helps me not to think about who is no longer there and to focus on something different and new. When you're going through hard times, I've found that it's best to be thankful for what you've got and to tell yourself, 'I'm going to make the best of this day that I can.'"
