American actor Dean Cain is set to compete in 'The Jump.'
The 49-year-old star - who is known for playing the flying hero in the TV series 'Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman' - is the latest name tipped to hit the Austrian slopes this year as he tries his hand at various winter sports - including skeleton, bobsleigh and speed skating - for the forthcoming Channel 4 show, according to DigitalSpy.
The handsome star should be at an advantage because this isn't the first time he's taken part in a reality TV show.
But if he wants to get through to the finals, he'll have to fight off stiff competition from the likes of Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington and impressive gymnast Beth Tweddle.
Other names dropped in relation to the forthcoming show, which is in its third series, include former Westlife singer Brian McFadden and Olympic champion Linford Christie.
'The Only Way is Essex's James 'Arg' Argent has confirmed he's been offered a huge deal to slip on some skis, while former Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding is keen to do better than her stint on gymnastics-based 'Tumble' last year.
Meanwhile, Channel 4 has announce the show, which is hosted by Davina McCall, will return to screens in due course with a new format that will see the stars living in a house together, as well as battling to be crowned champion.
