Davina McCall hasn’t got time to follow her old workout routines.
The ex ‘Big Brother’ host admitted she is less strict with her exercise regime than in her 00s fitness video days, but tries to be “active” on days she doesn’t hit the gym.
While appearing on Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s ‘Spinning Plates’ podcast, the 55-year-old television presenter said: “Who’s got time for that? Spinning too many plates.
“But I do try to work out a minimum of three times a week. I try to have active rest days.
“For example, I went to Shoreditch today and they were like, ‘Do you want to get a car’. I said, ‘No, I want to go by Tube,’ so I did a brisk 15-minute walk to the place I was going to, a brisk 15-minute walk back and I ran down the escalator.
“I just try to be active wherever I go. I always think this might not be in a gym, but it’s certainly exercise.“If I was on a treadmill, these are good calories I’m burning here.“I try to be active on my rest days because it is all exercise, right?”
Recently, The Masked Singer’ judge - who has kids Holly, 21, Tilly, 19, and Chester, 16, with her ex Matthew Robertson, 54 - appealed to front a 'Love Island' for people of a certain age.
She said: "I've got no embarrassment or shame in emailing a TV company and going, 'Have you thought about this? What about this? Can I do this?'
"I'm literally begging ITV to let me present mid-life 'Love Island'.”
