David Walliams has signed up 2013's 'Britain's Got Talent' star Jack Carroll to star in 'Big School'.
The 42-year-old comedian - who is a judge on the ITV contest alongside media mogul Simon Cowell, singer Alesha Dixon and actress Amanda Holden - has negotiated a deal with Jack, who suffers from cerebral palsy, and finished as the runner-up on the show at the age of 14.
Jack - who has previously appeared in two series of the CBBC Channel show 'Ministry of Curious Stuff' - is set to play a new boy at Greybridge School named Dean.
David enthused: "I am excited to be welcoming so many talented new faces to the show - and it's great to be working with Jack."
David - who is married to model Lara Stone - plays chemistry teacher Mr Church in the drama which is set in a secondary school and follows the comedic relationships of the teachers.
He will also be joined by former 'Holby City' star Jimmy Akingbola, who has been cast as hunky Mr Dalton.
The first series began airing on BBC One on 16 August 2013 and has been renewed for a second series which will hit the small screen from August 2014.
