Production on David Walliams' new drama was interrupted by noisy builders.
The comedian and author is working on a remake of 'Hansel and Gretel' with Sheridan Smith for Sky, but construction workers putting together a wedding venue next door are said to have made things tough for the cast and crew filming at Newland Park at the Chiltern Open Air Museum in Chalfont St Giles, Bucks.
An insider told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: “It’s bad luck that just when they needed to film, a load of builders were in putting up a wedding venue next door.
"The noise was a bit much at times due to the drills and hammering. It stopped the shoot a couple of times.
"These things happen on set and David and Sheridan were model professionals. They just had to work around it and get their heads down when they could.”
It's said David and Sheridan - who were dressed as a troll and witch respectively - had to reshoot scenes due to the racket.
David, 49, is working on two 'After Ever After' specials following the success of 'Cinderella: After Ever After', including taking on the role of the giant in a 'Jack & The Beanstalk' sequel alongside Sheridan and co-star Blake Harrison.
He previously said: "I often wondered what happened to Jack after ever after, so I decided to write a sequel because I can't stop writing books!
"This is a star-studded festive treat - a comedy sequel to one of the best loved English fairy tales. I am delighted to be playing the Giant, alongside some of the biggest names in British TV."
The 'Inbetweeners' star Blake has been cast as Dodgy Dave - who sold Jack the magic beans - and Sheridan will play giant killer The Woman With No Name.
She added: "This is a brilliantly funny piece and I'm so excited to be working with David again.
"My part 'The Woman with No Name' is a really fun part and like every baddie, she gets her comeuppance in the end!
"After the year we've had it's the perfect story for Christmas that the whole family can enjoy together."
