Danny O'Donoghue has slammed 'The Voice' bosses.

The Script singer - who is a coach on the BBC One talent show - has hit out at the programme's chiefs after they forced him to decide which of his two contestants he was going to send through to the finals in last week's semi-final on live TV.

He said: "The bosses wanted me to say if I would send home Karl Michael or Andrea Begley if it was up to me to decide, but I just couldn't do it.

"I couldn't let either of them down. There is a format to follow, but we all have morals. And every single one of the coaches does what we want.

"I probably should have answered the question, but I felt it was unfair. The number of hours both of them had put it at that point was incredible."

Danny - who is a coach on the show alongside Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J and will.i.am - insists the pressure he was under made him feel like he was having to pick a favourite kid.

He added to The Sun newspaper: "For me it would have been like choosing a favourite child. And at the end of the day, we are trying to create an artist who will sell millions of records. So whoever won the public vote was the right person for me to have in the final, because they will sell the most records."

Andrea will battle it out against Leah McFall, Mike Ward and Matt Henry in the live final on Saturday (22.06.13).

Leah is currently the odds-on favourite to win the competition at 1/4 with 888sport, followed by Mike (6/1) and Andrea (7/1) but Matt is an outsider at 20/1.

However, the bookmaker is offering 10/1 for the winner to have a UK Number one by Christmas.
