Danny Dyer’s grandmother has died.

The ‘EastEnders’ star is mourning the loss of his gran, who has sadly passed away at her home after being released from hospital following a battle with pneumonia.
Danny’s mum, Christina, shared the news on Twitter on Thursday (05.11.20), where she said her mother was allowed to leave hospital so she could pass away in the comfort of her own home.
Christina tweeted: “I didn’t see my little mum for 10 days when she was in hospital and a wonderful doctor allowed me to give her a cuddle wearing full PPE. They let me take her home so she could die in her own house.
“I will be eternally grateful to that wonderful doctor giving me that last cuddle and a chat. I miss her dreadfully (sic)”
As of the time of writing, Danny hasn’t commented publicly on the passing of his grandmother, and it’s not known exactly when she died.
Back in June, Christina had revealed that her mum was in hospital battling pneumonia and that they couldn't visit her due to the coronavirus pandemic.
She tweeted at the time: "My little mum is in hospital with pneumonia. Not Covid thank f***. I’m taking up parcels and phoning her, but not being able to visit her is f****** devastating.”
Danny’s daughter, Dani Dyer, then reached out to her own grandmother, sending her love as she wished for her great-grandmother to make a speedy recovery.
The ‘Love Island’ star commented: "Hope she's OK”, followed by two red love hearts.
And Christina responded: "So do I! Love you xxx (sic)”
