Danny Dyer could be in trouble with BBC bosses after he hit back at homophobic attacks on Twitter.
Danny Dyer's outspoken reaction to Twitter users making homophobic remarks regarding a recent emotional 'EastEnders' scene could get him into trouble with BBC bosses.
The 'EastEnders' star - who plays Mick Carter on the soap - was abused on the site after his character's son Johnny came out as gay, and his response was less dignified than the show's chiefs would have liked.
He posted a crude guide telling the abusive online users - known as 'trolls' - where to put their opinions.
He also wrote: "Here's a little message for the homophobic p****s who are tweeting me. Happy New Year."
While the BBC would approve of him "taking a stance" against the comments, it is the nature of his response which could get him into trouble.
An insider told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "N one would disagree with Danny taking a stance when it comes to opposing homophobic opinions.
"But the manner in which he did it will not go down well at the BBC. Danny's always been outspoken but now that he's a member of the 'EastEnders' cast he has to remember that his reactions impact on the BBC."
