Dannii Minogue says Cheryl Cole will thrive as the only female judge on 'The X Factor'.
The pair were on the panel together in 2008, and the fashion star has backed the former Girls Aloud singer to be a huge success if she does decide to return to the TV talent show.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I don't know what's going on with the panel but if Cheryl does come back as the only girl I don't think she'll miss female company too much.
"I liked the fashion wars but Cheryl will have more than enough glamour and frocks to do it on her own.
"And she can definitely hold her own with just the boys. I think she'll love it."
It has been said that Cheryl told show bosses she wants to "be the only woman" judging on the show, and as negotiations continue she "seems to be calling the shots".
An insider recently said: "If Cheryl does come back as planned, she will be the only woman on the panel. That's how she wanted it and at this moment she seems to be calling the shots.
"They're still finalising the other details but Cheryl made it clear she didn't want to be pitched against another female again."
