Danniella Westbrook is reportedly planning to star in a new documentary which will lift the lid on her struggle with addiction.
The former 'EastEnders' star has spent years battling substance abuse issues and has endured numerous stints in rehab in a bid to get clean - and now she looks set to shine a light on her long-running problems in a new series as her representatives are said to be in talks with a "major UK broadcaster".
A source told The Sun: "Danniella Westbrook’s agents are currently in negotiations to commission Danniella her own TV show.
They are speaking to a major UK broadcaster. The show is a documentary style series that will take a look at Danniella’s life and delve into the biggest battles she has conquered, as well as exploring major issues in the world that are affecting thousands of people everyday."
The insider goes on to explain how the series will show the actress rebuilding her relationships with her loved ones and show fans a "different side" to her.
They added: "The documentary will show how Danniella overcame addiction and rebuilt her family relationships. Fans will get a chance to see a different side to Danniella.
"Danniella is excited for this potential new chapter of her career. Negotiations are currently taking place and some big offers have been made."
The publication reports Danniella could be in line to sign a £500,000 contract to make the documentary.
The actress spent more than a decade drug-free before relapsing in 2014 which led to several other blips in her recovery.
Last year, Danniella revealed she had relapsed once again but was receiving help and following a 12-step program with the aid of a therapist in a bid to conquer her demons once and for all.
