Danniella Westbrook is to return to 'EastEnders' later this year.
The 43-year-old actress reprised her role as mega bitch Sam Mitchell briefly last year when her alter ego's mother Peggy Mitchell (Dame Barbara Windsor) tragically passed away, and despite previously suggesting she had been sacked from the BBC One soap, she has now claimed she is going back to Walford.
Speaking about returning to Albert Square on ITV's 'Loose Women' on Thursday (11.05.17), she said: "There's a big chance of me going back into 'EastEnders'. I'm going to be back there at the end of the year."
Danniella also admitted she used drugs on the set in 2016 as a way of dealing with her painful miscarriage, which only her ex-boyfriend George Arnold knew about, and it caused her to have a relapse.
She said: "I had a miscarriage last May and I was at work at 'EastEnders' at the time as well so only George and I knew about it.
"It really broke my heart and at the time I was in a bad place and I used in and them my psychosis went crazy."
Last month, Danniella said that bosses wouldn't have her back and accused the BBC of using her for publicity.
She said at the time: "Always, love 'EastEnders'. The last time I went back fans [wanted me back] because [Sam's] a superbitch and there's good tension between her and Sharon [Mitchell, played by Letitia Dean] and all that stuff. And now because you haven't got the Pauline [Fowler, portrayed by Wendy Richard], Peggy and Pat [Butcher, Pam St. Clement] types older characters and it needs Sam, Sharon and Roxy but they just won't do it. They just will not do it. They have said I'm sacked, I'm this and that, they seem to use me for PR and not for the work."
