Danniella Westbrook has been arrested over allegations of threatening behaviour.
The 44-year-old actress was seen in the back of a police car on Tuesday (10.04.18) afternoon on her way to Hatfield station in Hertfordshire where she was taken for questioning in relation to the incident, according to The Sun newspaper.
A police spokesperson later confirmed in a statement: "A 44-year-old woman who was wanted in relation to allegations of malicious communications and witness intimidation was arrested by officers from Hertfordshire Constabulary at a location in Essex at 2.05pm this afternoon. She has been taken to Hatfield police station for questioning."
Whilst it is not known what caused her alleged behaviour, it has been claimed that the former 'EastEnders' star - who played Sam Mitchell on the BBC soap - took £1,000 from a former friend whose business she "tried to destroy on social media".
The Sun reports that Danniella was wanted for questioning in relation to the alleged crime back in January, and reportedly ignored four requests to voluntarily go to St Albans police station.
The publication claims that the star was instead taken to Hatfield for questioning over alleged "malicious communications and witness intimidation".
A source claimed last week: "It is suspected that Danniella has taken £10,000 from this woman who she was once friends with.
"It is alleged that Danniella refused to pay the money back and then things turned nasty.
"This woman had considered her a friend and had really helped her out in the past, and paid for a lot of things for her."
