Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm have signed up for a second series of 'A Young Doctor's Notebook'.
The 'Woman in Black' star and the 'Mad Men' actor will return to the Sky Arts comedy drama, inspired by the autobiographical short stories of Russian writer and playwright Mikhail Bulgakov, with Jon reprising his role as a doctor during the Russian Revolution, and Daniel will continue to portray the doctor's younger self.
Daniel said: "I had absolutely no hesitation in agreeing to do a second series of 'A Young Doctor's Notebook'.
"I had an incredible time working with the multi-talented Jon Hamm and of course am a huge fan of Mikhail Bulgakov's work and so was thrilled when I was told a second series had been commissioned."
Jon admitted working on the drama's first season was an "absolute blast" so he can't wait to reprise his role for a second run.
He said: "I'm thrilled to come back to our wonderful, weird, wild world of 'A Young Doctor's Notebook'. Series one was an absolute blast to work on and I'm looking forward to continuing this bizarre adventure."
Directed by James Hunt, the new series is set in the small village of Muryevo in 1918 and sees the Young Doctor (Daniel) battling a morphine addiction while trying to cope with the Civil War and the pursuit of Natasha, a beautiful aristocrat.
Meanwhile, his drug-free older self (Jon) reflects on his younger years and offers some advice.
James said: "I am absolutely thrilled to bring the most talented double act of our generation back to Sky Arts."
Adam Godley will reprise his role as The Feldsher alongside Rosie Cavaliero and Vicki Pepperdine as Pelageya and Anna respectively.
