Dancing on Ice's Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean are to skate with a drone during the new series.
The ice-skating legends - who won gold at the Sarajevo 1984 Winter Olympics - will form a trio with drone operator Andy as part of a live performance when the ITV show kicks off again in the new year.
Show judge Christopher said: "We’re going to be doing a live dance with a drone so there are three people in this relationship now; Jayne, myself and Andy who’s joined the team. He’s a drone operator.
"It’s one of those drones where he’s following us and it’s buzzing around and going underneath."
'Coronation Street' legend Sally Dynevor, Happy Mondays dancer Bez, Paralympian Stef Reid, Love Island’s Liberty Poole, rugby star Ben Foden, and pop stars Kimberly Wyatt and Rachel Stevens are among the celebrities who will take to the ice next year.
And Torvill and Dean have been impressed with the talent on show, admitting there will be more than "one or two contenders" for the trophy.
He said: "We always say this year really is the best year, the standard’s incredible."
Jayne added to The Sun newspaper's TV Biz column: “The standard of the majority is much higher than in other shows.
"I don’t think we know who will win – there’s not just one or two contenders this year."
Paul Gascoigne’s son Regan Gascoigne, professional dancer Brendan Cole, TV presenter Ria Hebden, The Vamps' Connor Ball, and BMX Olympic silver medallist Kye Whyte complete the line-up for next year's show, which will once again by hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
