The Islanders who were deemed safe after the public vote got together to choose one boy and one girl to leave the ITV2 show, with the girls opting to send home Dale and the boys choosing Abi.

Abi admitted she had some highs and lows in the show, revealing as she left the villa: "I had some lows and some really high highs and I made some really good friends."

Whilst Dale said he had a great time, adding: "It’s bittersweet but I’ve had the best summer of my life."

Liberty Poole - who is coupled up with boyfriend Jake Cornish - admitted she was nervous about him possibly exiting the show, after he found himself in the bottom three.

She confessed to her friends as they made their decision: "My heart was in my stomach."

Elsewhere, newly-single Teddy Soares - who was dumped by Faye Winter after they rowed - had luck on his side as he was asked on a date by bombshell arrival Priya Gopaldas.

On their date, Teddy was clearly enamoured by Priya and vice versa as he leant in to kiss her twice when she arrived at their meal. The pair looked like they had a connection as they chatted with one another.

However, Faye was less than happy about Teddy's date.

She told her fellow Islanders: "If it's going to happen it's going to happen. I'm not going to stress about it today, tomorrow, next week, or the week after. Stress gives me wrinkles, wrinkles means I have to get more Botox, and Botox could potentially make my face drop."

Faye also admitted she didn't think she was the kind of girl who a guy would want to take home to their mum, whilst she felt Priya was much more suited for that.

She said in the Beach Hut: "She seems like a pleasant girl, and someone you want to take home to your mum. I'm not someone you want to take home to your mum, probably."

'Love Island' continues on Tuesday evening on ITV2.
