The 25-year-old star admits he barely chats to his fellow Islanders - including former best mate Tommy Fury, who he appeared with on the 2019 edition of the show - insisting he just focuses on himself now.

Speaking to The Sun Online, he said: "I don’t speak to that many people from Love Island now. I focus on myself and everything that is going on. Me and Tommy talk every now and again but I don’t really talk to the other guys. We have gone our separate ways and that’s the way it is."

Curtis had previously split from Maura Higgins - who has since moved on with 'Strictly Come Dancing' professional Giovanni Pernice - and during an appearance on 'Celebs Go Dating', he broke down in tears as he discussed his split with the reality star with the E4 show's dating experts Anna Williamson and Paul Carrick Brunson for the first time.

Discussing the couple's decision to call it quits, he said: "I cried, because I hadn’t spoken to anybody about the Maura situation before. To talk openly and freely was a breath of fresh air. It was nice to be able to speak with people I felt safe talking about it with ... I love the work I do, and I’m still young. I just feel it was also the same for Maura, and it just meant we went our separate ways."

Curtis was accused of cheating on Maura after they announced their split earlier this year, but he had admitted in the past that he was kicking himself for not reading the "signs".

He added: "At the time I was accused of cheating, but I never did. I was always faithful to Maura. If you look back on everything - and I am looking back on it now - I’m like, ‘Curtis, all the signs were bloomin’ there, why didn’t you realise then?’ You just don’t when you are in that situation. You trust what they say. Now her true colours are shown. They said they would never ever be together, and here they are."
