It was revealed earlier this week that 'Celebs Go Dating' filming had been temporarily paused after one of the stars was found to have the virus, despite having quarantined beforehand, and it's now been revealed it was the former 'Love Island' hunk who had the "terrible luck" to have still contracted Covid-19.

A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre TV column: "It’s just terrible luck for Curtis. He followed all the rules by the letter of the law, quarantined for two weeks and kept himself to himself.

“And he still managed to somehow pick up this virus."

Fortunately, Curtis is feeling "absolutely fine" and has subsequently returned negative tests.

The insider added: "He is absolutely fine, has no symptoms and feels fit as a fiddle. But it’s put the brakes on the whole show until he gets the all-clear and everyone else continues to test negative.”

And a spokesperson for Lime Pictures, who make the series, said: "The cast member who tested positive earlier for Covid during filming 'Celebs Go Dating' has since tested negative on subsequent occasions.

"Having taken extensive medical advice and with the support of Public Health England they are deemed to be non-infective.

"All cast members will be tested prior to entering the house following their recent isolation. 'Celebs Go Dating' filming will resume imminently."

Joining Curtis on the show will be Chloe Ferry, Karim Zeroual, Kimberly Hart-Simpson, Sophie Hermann, Tom Zanetti and Wayne Lineker are all part of the line-up for the show, which will see the return of dating experts Paul C Brunson and Anna Williamson.

The single stars will all bubble up together in one house and so, for the first time in 'Celebs Go Dating' history, the cameras will be following the celebs 24/7.

The new series is set to air on E4 in early 2021.
