Curtis Pritchard is yet to make Maura Higgins his official girlfriend.
The couple met and fell for each other on ITV2 reality dating show 'Love Island' this summer and, although things have been going great between them since they left the villa, Curtis is still yet to ask Maura to be his girlfriend.
Quizzed on their relationship status by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on 'This Morning' on Wednesday (04.09.19), Curtis answered: "I'm really happy with how this going but I haven't asked her to be my girlfriend yet, and I am not going to do it on TV! I don't want it to be a public thing, if I'm going to do it then it's going to be private. I'm old fashioned."
When asked if she wants to be Curtis' official girlfriend, Maura said: "Yeah, of course I would."
Phillip then asked the ballroom dancer about his recent comments in which he refused to put a label on his sexuality and his question prompted Curtis to insist that labels are outdated, but he did reaffirm his strong feelings Maura.
He said: "My goal in life is to be happy and this girl here makes me happy, so everything is perfect right now."
Maura, 28, then added: "I'm happy too, so I'm happy that he's happy."
Curtis, 23, also revealed that he and Maura's busy work schedules since they left 'Love Island' has kept them apart but has actually been good for their blossoming romance because their time away from each has kept everything fresh.
He explained: "We've come out to the real world now and we've both been very busy doing separate things so we've not been able spend every second of the day together which, in a weird way, has been nice. When you do spend time together then it's quality time."
Agreeing with her man, Maura said: "It's been good because then you miss someone."
