The 55-year-old dancer is poised to marry Jonathan Myring after two years of dating, and Craig has now revealed that the proposal - which took place during a romantic holiday in Australia - was far from straightforward.
Chatting to Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston on Heart Radio, Craig shared: "It was kind of a disastrous day, to be honest. John had planned on popping the question while we had a picnic waiting to see some platypus. But I couldn't be bothered.
"I didn't want to wait four hours to see the little thing, so he decided not to."
Jonathan's second proposal attempt was also ruined by the TV star.
Craig explained: "He had planned to ask me while we were hiking up to his amazing waterfall. But I was in foul form and tired. All I wanted to do was get into the bath and soak away the day.
"Once we got back to the hotel I hopped into the bath. A few minutes later Johnathan joined me, and he asked me there and then."
On reflection, Craig thinks the unusual proposal was actually "very romantic".
He said: "It was very romantic. A naked proposal, on his knees in the bath. It was hilarious!
"I said, 'Absolutely not!' And then I said, 'Oh, alright then, I've changed my mind.'
"I thought it was really sweet, actually, because Jonathan just said, 'I want to spend the rest of my life with you.'
"It was absolutely perfect. I would much rather be in a bubble bath with champagne than climbing up a mountain to a waterfall anyway."
